“Sometimes you need to step outside, get some fr “Sometimes you need to step outside, get some fresh air, and remind yourself who you are and who you want to be.”

Reviewing the previous month and making goals for the month ahead is one of my favorite things to do. Seeing where time is spent and what progress is made and where focus needs to be going forward gets me excited about the work and effort going into the next month.

Not sure where to start but want to review your month so you can start making progress? Here’s where I started:

✨ what or who I am grateful for right now
✨ good things that happened this past month
✨ favorite memories of this month
✨ goals that are making progress
✨ what’s not working
✨ what I’m saying no to going into the next month
✨ what I’m saying yes to going into the next month

When I take stock in the previous month I can see how little bits of progress over time makes goals possible to reach 🤗
✨The days are long, but the years are far too sh ✨The days are long, but the years are far too short. ✨

Not sure how in the whole wide world this kid is going to be four months next week 🥹
Sh*t happens 🥴🫢 But seriously. It does. Har Sh*t happens 🥴🫢

But seriously. It does. Hard times come, usually unexpectedly.

But … they always pass.

I never expected to get pregnant the first time around…

I never expect to get pregnant again eight months later…

I never expected my first marriage to fail…

I never expected to be working three jobs just to put food on the table…

I never expected a pandemic to hit and all the chaos that came with it …

I never expected to be laid off in the midst of it as a single mom…

I could keep going and I’m sure you have one of these lists too.

It’s really easy to focus on the challenges and the hard stuff. But without them we wouldn’t experience some of the greatest blessings.

✨ I have two amazing not-so-little boys that are best friends

✨ I am now remarried to the greatest man and someone who was so clearly made for me.

✨ I learned that I never wanted to be away from my kids and pursued a career that was completely flexible around them.

✨ I got to spend countless time and made countless memories with my boys that would have gotten lost in the shuffle if life hadn’t stopped.

✨ I had a skill that I had developed and grown in that didn’t need a “job” or regular boss and I was pushed out of my comfort zone to *finally* start my own business which has given both me and my husband the freedom to focus on our family that we truly craved.

✨ I’ve now got a third little boy who is a blessing to our entire family and if allllll those challenges never were - either would this precious sweet thing.

Count your blessings folks. Look for the good from hard and remind yourself that whatever challenging situation you are faced with right now, God is there and His faithfulness is ever present. Just keep swimming 🐠
Mom life is the glam life - said no mom ever 😝 Mom life is the glam life - said no mom ever 😝

But I wouldn’t trade the mom life for a glamorous life ever. It’s hard and exhausting but it’s my favorite. 😍🥰
Have you ever gotten stuck healing? It sounds si Have you ever gotten stuck healing?

It sounds silly. But give me a second.

Healing is good. It’s necessary to move forward.

But, when we get so fixated on healing we tend to stay in the past.

Constantly digging up old wounds.

And before we know it we are stuck in the past. Not moving forward. The state of healing becomes our comfort zone.

I’m sure you’ve heard the saying - you can’t move forward by looking in the review mirror.

I got stuck healing not too long ago. So focused on healing my past wounds that I wasn’t allowing room for the present or the future.

I was stuck.

I had to make a conscious decision to let the past be the past and know I had done my best at that time at healing. It was time to move forward. It was time to put my eyes on the road in front of me.

Does this mean that triggers no longer happen?

No.

Do I still have things bubble up that I need to work on?

Of course.

But my eyes are no longer fixed on the past and since then, I’ve seen greater growth in my life than when I was stuck healing.
Hair loss - if you’re anything like me, those wo Hair loss - if you’re anything like me, those words make me cringe.

BUT, unfortunately, its natural.

Most of us use products trying to tame our hair, hoping, wishing it would do/be what we want. Those product are usually made with things that really aren’t good for our scalp and leave it inflamed and imbalanced.

When we start to use a product that gets rid of the build up, calms our scalp, and reduces the inflammation, our hair follicle opens and the hair that is in the resting stage, sheds.

This growth, rest, shed process doesn’t happen to all the hair all at once (phew 😅).

Years of built up hair products, environmental deposits, scalp disorders, nutritional deficiencies, the start of DHT production as we age, and even our own overactive Sebum production, can all cause an imbalance in the follicle activity and can cause some to be slower producing. Which means different hair follicles are at different stages in the growth, rest, shed process 🙌

So the way Monat works, is that it starts to cleanse and open the follicles, the resting hair will slip out a little quicker making way for the new growth to come in stronger and stay in the growth period longer.

The amount of shedding will be determined by how healthy the scalp and follicles were to begin with.

After the follicle is in better functioning condition the hair will grow quicker and stronger. This process will also wake up dormant follicles as long as they are not already dead the dormant follicles will begin to produce again.

Monat also helps the anchoring of the hair in the bulb, which strengthens the hair and keeps it in it's growth period longer. But of course all of this takes time and is included in the 90 day detox period along with the process of breaking down the gunk on the hair shaft.
I’ve always been a product junkie. Any type of p I’ve always been a product junkie. Any type of product - hair, skin, makeup, nails. You name it - I’ve tried it …well back pre-kid me. I’d spend hours on my hair and make up each day.

Then… I had kids.

Game over. 😂

I didn’t have the time or energy to spend on my hair and make up like I once did. And the worst part was - both were in even worse shape post-kids. My hair was no longer just frizzy but now it was super thin and broken all the time from having it up in a pony tail.

Yikes. 🥴

When I started hearing about this hair product line that my beauty school friends were using that was *changing* their hair - I was intrigued. So I made the leap.

What I didn’t realize when I made this leap was that these products were actually healing my hair. Which in turn made me want to learn how. Which spurred my wanting to learn how to heal my skin - then my gut - then my mindset…

When we don’t commit to giving ourselves the time to really try something new and skip around trying this and trying that we cheat ourselves out of the opportunity to change our lives.

Little by little good habits build upon the one before and slowly but surely we change our lives.

Could a bottle of shampoo change your life?

Are you ready to find out?
✨Be still and KNOW that I am God ✨ Do you tak ✨Be still and KNOW that I am God ✨

Do you take time to just breathe? Ya know, quiet, so you can hear Him?

Motherhood is loud and constant. It doesn’t allow for much time to just exist. But I have found that it is necessary for my soul to breathe and be able to be present to my kiddos.

As an introvert with an extremely extroverted kid, I’ve had to be very intentional about finding pockets of quiet to refuel.

👉 take a walk - when my older kids were little, this looked like putting them in the stroller, putting in one airpod and turning on some relaxing music or an audiobook.
👉 take a long, hot shower
👉 get up an hour before your kids - this may sound counterintuitive when you have littles but it can be more refreshing than an extra hour of sleep
👉 unplug - put your phone down for a few hours a week or get in the habit of putting it on airplane mode at a certain time each evening and not picking it up again until morning.
👉 pick up your Bible before you pick up your phone or put your feet on the floor in the morning.

It takes some brain work but try to schedule it into your week this week.
